About

The Skysounds were a continuation of earlier group The Panthers and took their name from the Skyline Ballroom, where they were the resident house band. The band underwent numerous line-ups throughout their existence, hence the many members listed above. The main line-up we show here is (we are told) the line up which recorded their 1966 single “No Matter Where I Wander”.

The Skysounds were one of several Hull groups to audition for Opportunity Knocks back in the 60s, though they were not successful.

With thanks to Tony Lee, Phil Parkman and Ray Moody.
