About Pavey Ark

Fronted by chief songwriter Neil Thomas, Pavey Ark are an alternative acoustic band from Hull. Atmospheric vocals and violins glide over fingerpicked guitar, melodic bass and complex percussion. The result is a lush folk-inspired sound that has established the band as one of the must see acts in the region. They have played major UK festivals including Glastonbury, Cornbury and Bearded Theory 2019.

Recent support slots include This Is The Kit, Badly Drawn Boy, Wild Beasts, Rozi Plain and Steve Mason. The band were listed in the Unsigned Guide’s 2018 “Ones To Watch” with just seven other UK acts. Their track “Hidden Hills” was shortlisted in Amazing Radio’s song of 2017 poll.

With influences such as Nick Drake, Radiohead and Rodriguez, Pavey Ark’s debut album Close Your Eyes And Think Of Nothing was released in March 2020.

Pavey Ark performed on the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury Festival in 2022.
